Skiing & Snowboarding in Carinthia

The nearest skiing opportunity to Chalet Kolbnitz is the village slope, great for beginners, while the ski resorts of Ankogel and Molltaler Glacier are less than 20 minutes away. Both are served by a free ski bus during the winter season, plus the glacier offers year round skiing and is open from mid-June to mid-May. These National Park Hohe Tauern pistes are on the sunny side of the Alps and are the highest altitude skiing areas in Carinthia, with the most reliable snow cover.

The experienced skier will head directly to the Ankogel gondola, Bad Kleinkirchheim or Gross Grossglockner for long challenging runs, while snowboarders and intermediate skiers will love the wide carving slopes and boarder cross parks of Moelltaler Glacier and Katschberg.
